Currently, AF devices only support Images and Videos (see the full list of supported file types here).
Dynamic (HTML/Javascript) NFTs are not yet supported, but in the mid to long-term future, we plan on supporting some HTML/JS NFTs once our hardware and software have been optimized to ensure playback quality is up to our standards. In the short term, we plan on having a manual NFT upload function that will allow users to convert some HTML/JS NFTs into video loops to upload/play.
Whether we can currently support a specific dynamic NFT depends on whether or not the tokenURI points to a specific image at a snapshot in time. Example: there are NFTs on Zora that change color when transferred to another individual but stay fixed until it transfers again. This is easy for us because an API response will show it's an image, and we can display the image.
If the tokenURI points to HTML, whereby the image/video/visuals change in real-time, we can't yet support that on our display software.
